History of the Windows OS – Part1

Windows might have been released under the old name of Interface Manager and Microsoft cooperation announced the development of windows, next version of operating system that would give a Graphical User Interface for its Microsoft Operating system.

Step 1: DOS
Microsoft has developed the Disk Operating System executive program to run the IBM Personal computer. It consists of two variations such as MS DOS and PC DOS then used single word user command and text based interface.

Step 2: Windows 1.0
Interface Manager is also called as Windows. Windows 1.0 was not a complete operating system that extended and MS-DOS its borrowing of certain GUI elements from Mac GUI.

Step 3: Windows 2.0
Windows second version is overlapping windows and came bundled with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word applications. It has many improvements to the memory management and user interface.

Step 4: Windows 3.0
Windows 3.0 allowed users to best multitask older MS-DOS software and it was compatible either any Intel Processor from the 8086/8088. The application software mode windows 3.0 complete successfully in market.
